ABOUT ME
Working in Sports Management Academic and Consultancy
Prof. Ravishankar M. S is a marketing major from Mumbai University's premier institution - Sydenham Institute of Management Studies & Research. Started his career in the year 2003 into organized retailing with 'City Centre Super Markets, U.A.E'. moved into Sales & Marketing with Nestle India Ltd. serving the western region of Maharashtra, India. Ventured into Equity Markets as a Stock Broker and Technical Analyst at Amravati until 2010.

Teaching has come naturally as a way to give back to the community via experience sharing. Apart from visiting various management institutions around Amaravati and training investors in technical analysis, Prof. Ravishankar started his full-time career in Management Education with Shri Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal (HVPM), Amravati - An organization respected world over for its contribution in promoting Traditional Sports & Games (TSG) of India across the globe.
Prof. Ravishankar remained vocal in initiating Sports Management specialization in S.G.B Amravati University in 2012 and developed expertise into the subject matter by way of research and practical contribution into strengthening International Relations of HVPM with world bodies like UNESCO, ICSSPE, TAFISA and Indian and Sri Lankan Ministry of Sports under the guidance and blessings of visionaries like Padmashri Prof. P. A. Vaidya and Dr. S. H. Deshpande.

Currently, heading the Sports Management Prog. at Dr. Vishvanath Karad's MIT World Peace University, Pune with the guidance of an energetic and dynamic leader - Mr. Rahul V. Karad, Executive President of the University.

Also, serving on power committees like the UNESCO's Adhoc Advisory Committee on Promotion & Safeguarding Traditional Sports & Games, Paris.

Founder President at the Indian Association of Sports For All (I-ASFA), New Delhi
​
Major research focus areas are traditional sports and games as a grassroots sports promotion tool, Sports for All, and Fan engagement in Indian football.
